Being a Metal Head..

I am an avid follower of heavy metal,a proud one at that.And I am sure that every metal head that is present on the face earth has had to face these question once atleast:'How do u listen to such shit?' or 'Is that even music?'.Hell yeah it is ,and so much better than the monotonous and irritating 'dhinchak' bollywood music or even perhaps the Timberland,Enrique and other such shits.

Let me begin my explanation by providing a brief information of the roots of this music.Metal,as it is so called is because during its time of inception,which was sometime in the mid 60's,this kind of music was thought to be too heavy,too metallic due to excessive use of bass and drums.The pioneering band of the heavy metal genre is Black Sabbath.Also a contemporary band is Led Zepplin,whose most famous number is "The Stairway to Heaven".

After the early bands,came perhaps the greatest of all heavy metal bands-Iron Maiden.The operatic vocals of Bruce Dickinson with blistering solos by Janick Gers and have proved inspiration for thousands of bands across the world.Next came bands like Metallica,Megadeth,Pantera,Slayer,Nirvana(which is grunge metal) which also had several people headbanging to their tunes.Amongst a myriad of bands today,most followed ones are Children Of Bodom,Opeth,Lamb of God,Dimmu Borgir and Cannibal Corpse.
