Back to where we belong

The definition of life as given by the dictionary is “capacity for growth, functional activity, and continual change till death”. Well then according to this definition most of us must be dead. And that’s pretty true upto a certain extent. Zombies walking around performing their daily set of chores. All that we do with our life is just waste it. Going through the same monotonous, sickening routine with absolutely no deviations. And other people look at you with the same remorseful eyes as you see the world! And yet we all say we are living.
Genuinely it is pretty difficult to really understand where all this evolution is actually leading us. And it is vividly clear why we have to lead our lives this way. We have started to live in a materialistic world where we care less about ourselves and more about how others think of us. And worst of all, the thing that we really care about is success and wealth. Some might argue this to be a good thing. But I beg to differ. Look at what is left on the earth because if this. Being helpful is no longer a ‘fad’-people will slit throats to get ahead of their competitors, literally. If all of us could just leave this unrealistic lust for lucre probably we could ‘live’ our lives in its true sense.
What we need to do is to power our way out of this vicious vortex which holds us back within itself. We need to break free. We need to get out of this so called ‘civilized’ domain. Only way we can really do this is go back to how our ancestors lived. We need to go back to nature where everything gives you a new sense a life! Everything from the refreshing sight of the green leaves to the freshness of the water in a brook, everything pumps in more of life into you. Just seeing the exuberance of things around makes you forget all the harshness that is there in this world. When you go to the top the highest mountain and scream out till the air in your lungs drains out, the emotions that will overwhelm you will set your definition of life straight. I guess every single one of us needs to have such a catharsis for all that we go through in our present mode of existence. For once we can stop thinking of nefarious people trying to backstab you. But then, even the nature would put forth its own challenges in front of you. And it may not exactly be something that the faint hearted urbanites can cope with. If you can overcome this, you would comprehend the true essence of life.
We need to broaden up our minds. We need to stop living our morose lives. Life is so much beyond these megalomaniac ambitions. We need to go back to how we were meant to live. We need to go back into the wild.

Being a Metal head(part 2)

Now to answer the main question-why heavy metal? First and foremost reason may be because it is an hobby. It is music (atleast for people like me) and it helps one relieve all his stress. Further it works as a source of energy when you are down and out. The fast-paced double bass on the drum to the blistering guitar solos and the deep pitch growl…everything exuberates energy. It gives you a sense of belonging when you feel lonely…in a way all metalheads feel connected to an ethos…which is solely for them. No one can take that away from you. It helps you keep your mind off everything that goes on in this nefarious world. It keeps you from going insane. Letting yourself loose in a moshpit, without having to care about anything else makes you stop regretting your life. And for those of you who feel that metalheads don’t have any sense of musical harmony, you definitely got your opinions wrong. In my instance, as a illustration, after I started listening to metal my appreciation for classical music actually improved as I understood the intent behind the music and also the effort that goes into making such tunes. It also helps as it teaches you to stop thinking about what world things about you and think more about yourself! As a consequence you start to believe more in yourself, get a whole lot more confident.

Anyways anyone who still hasn’t got convinced-shit I don’t care. Because I know I am not alone and even though we may be a minority we are just about doing alright without you…so you enjoy in your own sweet world.
